Synth Magic Polycom Polymoog. Polymoog 203a(POLYCOM) and Polymoog 280a (ZOM ZOM). The real sound of the Polymoog 280a and 203a with all of the depth and analogue lushness of the original hardware sound.
For Kontakt 5.8.1 or higher (full version of Kontakt is required, not for free Kontakt Player).The Polymoog Synths are very special synths to me. My total obsession with Synthesizers started at a young age at around 1979 because of Gary Numan and his album: The pleasure principle; I must have worn that tape out because I listened to it so much – it blew my mind how futuristic it sounded. I remember reading the words POLYMOOG and thought the word sounded so mysterious and cool and although I knew it must be one of those Synthesizer machines I kept hearing about, I had no idea what it was(This was obviously pre internet). So, it was Gary Numan, Chris Payne and the Polymoog that altered my life’s path and made me dream of one day owning these expensive Synthesizers. I’m really pleased to have created a library of the Polymoogs – it has been an absolute labour of love. The Polymoog 203a is a classic synthesiser used all over much of Gary’s music and I called the Polymoog 280a library ZOM ZOM in honour of Gary Numan and then created the Polymoog 203a library called Polycom after the internal chip inside the voice cards (Don’t worry, you get both – Zom Zom and Polycom). The Polymoog has also been used by the likes of Gary Wright, Wendy Carlos, Chick Corea, Jimmy Destri of Blondie, Geoff Downes of Buggles and Asia, Freeez, Ralf Hütter of Kraftwerk, John Foxx (Metamatic album) and many more.
INTRODUCING POLYCOM
POLYCOM is a library of the Polymoog 203a (the fully programmable Polymoog version) for Kontakt 5.8.1 or higher(not the free Kontakt player). Adding over 5GB of polymoog 203a samples to the original 1.5GB of Polymoog 280a samples in Zom Zom – I really wanted to create a library of sounds that gave a wide range of Polymoog 203a sounds and believe Polycom will provide you with the great sound of the Polymoog.
All the classic 203a tones are here including the raw basic saw and square waveforms as well as a wide range of custom sounds programmed on a real 203a and sampled. All sounds are loaded at the same time and selected from the front panel buttons/bank dial.
The original Zom Zom (Preset polymoog 280a with Vox Humana) sounds are also included and selectable from this new interface. Polycom also comes with the original ZOM ZOM Kontakt instrument, so you get both.
Many extra features have been added such as arpeggiator, effects, extra filter types, EQ’s, extra modulation routings, MIDI sync LFO’s, MIDI Sync delays etc
